Jersey Lilly`s Mexican Restaurant in Hico

Good service, food, & prices. Passing through on our way home & decided to stop for lunch, glad we did. We will definitely be back when visiting Syephenville again. Lots of shops nearby.. great way to walk off your food!!

Love this old saloon in Hico, Texas

I loved the look of this restaurant and the atmosphere. The inside is decorated really nice. Has a bar inside. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was just decent. I've had better. It also took a long time to get waited on. Took a long time to get our foss. The waitress didn't come around much. Not saying don't go. Just make sure you plan ahead to be there a while.

Great unpretentious little spot in quaint town Hico. Good Verde sauce, homemade.

The fajita beef and chicken was really tender with great flavor. Waitress very attentive.

Food was very good and the atmosphere was historic.

The food is bland and tasted like it is pre packaged. The guacamole was from a can or package, the tortillas are store bought as well. The staff are nice.

We visited Jersey Lilly's for our first time today, and we were very satisfied! The salsa was really good, and the Tejas enchiladas were amazing! The combo fajitas for one are definitely worth bragging about. We will be back! Thanks to our server for an excellent first time experience!

Not bad for Hico Texas. Service is OK....better in slow times.Mexican food and burgers. Salsa is very good...not to hot, a little smokey. Get plenty....Mexican food is OK....tends to "need something" ....thats why you need plenty of salsa. Dump it on everything and that makes the Mexican food POP a little bit.Best thing on the menu is Chicken Tortilla Soup...add a spoonful of salsa to a cup of soup and you are set.Cup is huge...not sure how big the bowl is....but the cup was filling.

I like the building and the old pictures. Our waitress was good. We really liked the cowboy bites, an appetizer. The chicken fajitas, rice, beans, crispy taco and cheese & onion enchiladas were ok. The sauce on the enchiladas was more like a thin gravy type. The charro beans had a good flavor but they came out barely warm. The fajitas came out on a cast iron skillet but not sizzling. There were only 2 small bell pepper strips and lots of onion strips that were too done.

I think I found my new favorite spot!! Everything was so good and fresh while the atmosphere is just so relaxing! We'll be back! ...get the pork tacos!

First time visit Party of 11 ate here on Oct 19,2019. The ONLY reason I’m giving 2 stars is the wait staff are great! The menu is simple and direct BUT that is where it ends. Ordered Chili Relleno - they were out! The food took almost 30 minutes to get to the table. Charro beans(canned and cold) rice (cold) meat in enchiladas was old(like yesterday’s)! 5 of the 11 in our party got the screaming (well you fill in the blanks). This town has few selections for eating out. I will be going back to the Koffee Kup Kafe in Hico from now on!10/22/19Answered the proprietors email request. NO response. Not surprised!

Incredibly slow service, fake guacamole, cold rice, congealed enchiladas. Chips were warm, so I guess that's something.

Very good food and good service

The waitresses are always friendly and very observant. I have had no problem with any of the food here and if you have never tried their soup you should. Eat lunch here about 3-4 times a week.

Well she's not Jersey Mike's sister , no relation. But I tell you what , I ate every bite of a enchilada dinner. Fantastic little place. A hico must stop.

We have eaten there before and enjoyed it but this time the service was very slow, and I had to send part of my food back because I was cold. It came back obviously having been in the microwave for a few minutes as the cheese and refried beans were crusty around the edges. The food was too hot to eat. My thought was heat up the food, yes. Try to vulcanize it, not so much.

Pretty good Mexican food. The chips tasted a little stale and there wasn't much spice to the salsa. The hubby had enchiladas and he said they were good. I tried the 7 layer dip in a taco bowl shell. The flavor was good, but it was on the greasy side. Would definitely go again if I was in the area and hungry, but I'd have to try something else.

Service was okay, food wasn't great. I had heard good things. But, was disappointed. Will not go back. (The owner asked for more feedback after I left 3 stars)

We have stopped here before and really enjoyed the food, but after tonight's experience we will not be going back again. When we arrived we waited at the front of the restaurant for several minutes watching waitstaff walking past us repeatedly without even acknowledging our presence. When someone finally did speak to us we were just told to sit wherever and they would find us to bring us menus. We seated ourselves and then had to procure our own highchair. We were brought menus, chips, and salsa. The salsa sitting in the bowl with the chips so that when it was set down the salsa was already all over the chips. (Definately not something you want to give to small children.) We then proceeded to wait 15 minutes and were never acknowledged again, though several tables around us had waitstaff attend to them. After this time we finally got up and walked out, again without anyone even noticing. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Outstanding food and the best part, the trip down to Hico. We get to spend time catching up with each other.

Stopped in for lunch on Thursday 6/6! Very friendly waitress and good chips and salsa. Food was only average for Tex Mex but hot and edible for the price. Wish I could have said more. We loved checking out some of the shops in the town square, nice folks in this small town and a lot of history!

We stopped in Hico during a road trip we took and stumbled on to this place. The meals were generous in size! I had a taco salad and my other half had tacos. We were both just gaga over the beef. It was SO good! The veggies were very fresh and the dressing perfectly creamy. The staff made sure our iced teas were kept topped off. Really great spot and we won't hesitate to go back when we find ourselves in Hico again!

Cozy and super friendly. Bar area with a few stolls. Service was great, always coming back checking on me. Food was good, taste was great, plate or food could of been little (temp) hotter for me. Chips were warned and sauce was. Good and Spivey.

Good food the only problem I had our waitres tryed to hurry us up to leave? We eat out every weekend for years and I've ate in other states and countries but first time I've had this happen

Loved it! Queso was awesome. Fajitas were really good & tender. Look forward to going back
